A thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) is a self-regulating valve fitted onto your radiators, to control the temperature of a room by changing the flow of hot water to the radiator. As the air temperature drops or rises, a capsule inside the TRV head contracts or expands to move a pin in the valve body, that either opens or closes the valve. This allows the radiator to heat up and cool down to warm the airspace around it, transferring heat into the room.
The right combination of heating controls, including TRVs, enables heating to be controlled efficiently and effectively, lowering bills and your home’s carbon footprint as a result.

Just remember, you wouldn’t use one light switch to control all the lights in your home. TRVs provide that individual switch to control your heating in each room.
You can request our ECONOMY range TRVs from the engineer on the day of your powerflush.
